Luke's Key Witness: A Discussion on the Alisa Childers Podcast
I was recently invited for a conversation on the Alisa Childers Podcast, and that episode is now available.
On the current edition of the Alisa Childers Podcast, I discuss my forthcoming book, Luke’s Key Witness which tells the story of an intriguing first-century ossuary that was discovered in the area of Jerusalem. I believe this artifact sheds light on an obscure disciple of Jesus named Joanna who is mentioned only in the Gospel of Luke (Lk 8:3, 24:10). But surprisingly, Luke presents her as the central witness to the empty tomb. Scholars have noticed this fact but haven’t been able to explain it—that is, until this archaeological discovery was made, and we learned more about Joanna’s identity.

Is Faith a Blind Leap? Alisa Childers & Shane Rosenthal
Faith is one of the most misunderstood concepts in Christianity. Some think it's a blind leap in the dark with no evidence to back it up. Others think it’s a force you wield in order to manifest certain realities. Shane Rosenthal joins Alisa Childers Podcast to bust some myths about faith!
The Tools & Rules of History, with Gary Habermas, David McIlroy & Shane Rosenthal
Mark Lanier moderated this panel discussion at the Lanier Theological Library in Houston Texas. The forum was inspired by the release of two exhaustive volumes on the historicity of Jesus’ Resurrection by Dr. Habermas: On The Resurrection Vol. 1: Evidences, and On The Resurrection Vol. 2: Refutations.

Don’t forget to subscribe to The Humble Skeptic podcast, hosted by Shane Rosenthal. Shane is so wise and knowledgeable about so many things!
Alisa Childers, author of The Deconstruction of Christianity and Another Gospel
I just finished listening to The Humble Skeptic podcast. It’s excellent! I loved the interviews, the personal storytelling, the investigational aspect, the use of music, etc. The broadened appeal should help to generate a wide audience.
Brandon Kimber, director of The American Gospel documentary series
An exciting podcast about faith in a post-faith world!
Michael Bird, professor at Ridley College, Melbourne, Australia
This podcast is really well done—in fact, I decided to play a bit of the pilot episode to open up a lecture at Wheaton College on “Contending for Truth in an Age of Radical Subjectivism.”
John Dickson, host of Undeceptions
Shane Rosenthal’s fascinating new podcast, The Humble Skeptic, aims to show that a Christianity founded solidly on evidence can boldly answer the "outsider test" for truth in religious matters. With an emphasis on eyewitness testimony, careful thinking, and common sense, it promises to be an excellent addition to the apologetics podcast menu.
Lydia McGrew, author of Hidden in Plain View
Shane Rosenthal's new Humble Skeptic podcast is highly informative, but also fun to listen to. This is a great resource for believers and skeptics alike!
Adriel Sanchez, host of Core Christianity
Shane Rosenthal's Humble Skeptic podcast is one of the best I've ever heard. It is a breath of fresh air. Riveting! I'm subscribed and will be supporting it. You should too.
R. Scott Clark, professor at Westminster Seminary California
I loved all the twists in the investigation of the Billy Joel storyline, and I was especially impressed with how this was used to make an important point. Excellent storytelling with a high production value — I’ll be a faithful listener!
Doug Powell, author of The Ultimate Guide to Defend Your Faith
Former White Horse Inn host, Shane Rosenthal, recently ventured out on his own to create The Humble Skeptic podcast. I finally listened to the pilot episode and absolutely loved it! What, pray tell, could Shane's own father and his 50+-year-old memory of Billy Joel playing in a little piano bar in LA possibly have to say about Christian apologetics? Listen to the wildly entertaining story and see for yourself!

Shane Rosenthal’s Humble Skeptic podcast is superb! I was drawn in by the subject matter and narration of the first episode and am looking forward to hearing what’s next. Humble Skepticism — what a concept!
Michael Horton, host of White Horse Inn and professor at Westminster Seminary
The Humble Skeptic podcast is delightful! The pilot episode centered on the Piano Man story serves as a nice illustration (and a kind of parable) of the nature of belief.
T. David Gordon, author of Why Johnny Can’t Preach
In a world of media dominated by angry voices, Shane Rosenthal’s podcast, The Humble Skeptic, is a creative alternative where honest questions lead to engaging conversations.
Joseph R. Miller, president of the Center for Cultural Apologetics
You will not quickly find anyone as capable to think and search and organize and present (gift, really) to his listeners and readers his findings and thoughts in such a kind and trustworthy manner as this humble skeptic Shane is.
He should not let anyone get away with half-baked thoughts like those that the churches (and religions all) have indulged themselves with in order to confuse and intimidate and pacify their gullibles.
